Same here, got the belly button done about 15 years ago, it such an inny know you need a metal detector to find it, at least that's what I tell my nieces and nephews, and they buy it!
2 in each ear, one in top of left ear...thought about doing my maiden name in elvish (I'm a low level Tolkien geek) but my husband would FLIP (hi sweetie! no I won't do it!) ;-)
Squire (hubby) told his sister she should get the Titanic tattooed on her butt...half on one cheek and half on the other. That way, each time she takes a bath she can re-enact the famous sinking....
yes, there was a thread sometime back with this topic. http://4042.appcomm.net/4042forums/showthread.php?t=8444&highlight=tattoo I also have a tatt on the top of my foot and yes, it hurt pretty bad. "Lit me up" as some would say. I love it. I am pretty sure the bone is tattooed also. I have 3 tatts total and counting. :-D
  I have ears pierced, had two holes in each, but kept having problems on one side, so the second set has been closed up for some time now. Have one tat - had it for 27 years. . .had it recolored back in 98 and it still looks good. A profile of a butterfly landing, very colorful - looks like it is resting on bra...so it's in a spot where if I don't want anyone to see it, they can't, unless I wear something quite low necked. Got it just before I got out of the military..."butterflys are free" lol - that darn ink cost me a pay grade, 100.00 fine and two weekends of extra duty. I wasn't laughing then, though.
2 holes each ear, tongue and had belly button done but have to have redone. And in fall getting 3 tats.
No ink, single ear piercing, geez I'm boring!! BUT both of my sisters have mutiple tattoos and piercings!!
No tattoos, single ear piercing, but it was against my parents wishes at the time I snuck I pierced my friends ear and she pierced mine. How funny like my parents wouldn't notice it, I was grounded and had to sneak out my bedroom window to go any place for a while.
3 tats and one ear pierced, not that I wear anything in it very often, but for some reason it never closes up. Craig
Here is something for all you good, clean cut, Christian girls to defend. Leviticus 21:5-6 (KJV) "........ nor make any cuttings in their flesh. They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God........... they shall be holy. [/B]Leviticus 19:27-28 (GW) 28 Never slash your body to mourn the dead, and never get a tattoo. I am the Lord.
i have both arms half sleeved to the elbow , on on my back , entire front side neck to belly , one on my right shoulder and my right calf is tattooed. 2 piercings.
When I got my ears pierced, I wasn't a Christian. If it was sin to pierce them, then I was forgiven for it when I accepted Jesus as my Savior. But, I'm not sure about anyway this since it is from Leviticus and not the New Testament... this is where all that legalism stuff starts coming into play.
I guess we can tear that page out of the Bible, eh?..... Is the Lord still the Lord?? "I am the Lord", He said. "I change not". So OT or NT, whats the difference to Him when you were born? What makes you to think He changed His mind about how He feels about His own, time? Seems it only matters to us when we want to do OUR own thing, we look for ways to justify our actions, that we brand the objections to our actions, "legalism".. And of course, anyone coming against us is now seen as legalistic...Is that it? A Christian can't have it both ways. Either you love Him and seek to be pleasing to Him or you love yourself and seek compromise to relieve the guilt. One way brings life, the other, death.
