Anyone ever been ripped off on ebay?

One bad experience with e-bay purchases. Merchandise never arrived. Pay Pal refunded my charges. You should be OK if you pay by Pay Pal.

 

insurance protects you, not the buyer. i've learned this the hard way. see my posts above. i roll it into the starting bid, and offer free shipping. if the item is cheap, you have to be willing to take the chance on having to offer the refund if you don't want to insure it. i get DC on stuff like that anyway.

then again, i don't print out my own postage at home. delivery confirmation has worked for me 100% of the time.

in any case, i recommend getting to be friends with your mail carrier. i get quite a few items in the mail, some that fit in the mailbox and alot that won't. matter of fact, he's so cool that yesterday i came home and found two poster tubes slid between the rungs under the seat of the rocking chair on the front porch. he put them there to keep them out of the rain, and to make sure they didn't roll off the porch. it's amazing what 20 bucks for the holidays and some friendly words now and then will do for you in that regard, i guarantee it.
