Per the N&O: http://www.newsobserver.com/122/story/480932.html Johnston County Schools postponed all high school extracurricular activities today, including five high school games that were scheduled for tonight. If they'd left them on Fri night (as originally scheduled) they'd probably been better off!
And then all involved have to delay their Labor Day weekend plans and then you have the other half of the crowd complaining.
Alright who has a basement? Get it set up, we'll all be over. Well, that is if you aren't prone to flooding.
Dear Lord, it has been nearly 10 years since Fran came through and tore the roof of my house, (which was nothing compared to what the people of LA went through with Katrina), and left us without power or water for 9 days, but PLEASE don't let Ernesto surprise everyone and do major damage to the Carolinas. Amen
Heard at lunch they are opening a shelter in Raleigh starting at 5pm, you can go there, just don't get flooded out on the way
I would think you'd have to log into your network once you get to your PC, or have some such secure setup.
My company's policy was NO remote access from your home PC, don't even work a Word or Excel doc on your home PC. Sarbanes-Oxley and all that jazz.
If you're running XP, the drivers to connect remotely are already on your computer, so if you're connected to the internet, your computer already has the capability. If you have earlier versions of Windows, you'd have to install drivers.
