Ok, so you locals, should i waste my time bringing in plants and furniture from outside? i have done it quite a few times for nothing in the past years.

Plants, if they are heavy pots don't worry about it. The smaller pots I'd just pack em in a corner or up against the house.
Furniture, if it's plastic, you may find it in your neighbor's yard.
Depending on how high the wind gusts are.

The daycare runs on Jo Co school schedule. I leave early on Fridays...is it even worth it to bring the monster to work with me for a few hours and then leave work to take him to school for just 3 hours??? or just let him hang out with me here??? huummmmm

Looks like the little guy will be playing hookie! :D

I'd let him hang out with me..if I were you (of course depends on how far you are from the daycare). I know I'm 30 minutes away .... so she'd be stuck with me...but if I were 5 minutes away...I'd want that 3 hrs. to myself

    cut/paste from wmpm...

"At 2pm, Ernesto was moving north-northeast near 17mph, and was located 180 miles south-southwest of Wilmington, NC. Ernesto is then forecast to move into the Coastal Plains early Friday morning. Combined with a stalled surface boundary across the state, heavy rain is forecast this afternoon and tonight. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday morning for the WMPM listening area. Rainfall amounts between 3 and 5 inches are expected across Central North Carolina . Between 4 and 8 inches of rain are expected, with locally higher amounts up to 10 inches possible, across eastern sections of our state. Since most of the heavy rain will occur tonight, drivers are warned to be cautious. Strong winds from Ernesto will move into southeast counties of the state after midnight. Easterly winds of 25 to 35mph with frequent gusts around 40mph are expected. A wind advisory is in effect from 6pm Thursday until 6am Friday. The Wind Advisory includes Johnston , Harnett, Wayne , Cumberland , and Sampson Counties . The strongest winds are expected between 10pm and 4am. "
