Anyone know of any upcoming Rabies clinic 2011

Two of my dogs are due for their 3 year shots February and March of this year, and I need to find a clinic to get them. Going to our vet is an option of course, but by the time we get out of there, it ends up costing a LOT more than just the shot. I have 5 other dogs and cannot afford to do that at this time. I did find one advertised online, in Sanford on 1/22/11, but hope there is something closer. When I called Johnston County Animal services a few months ago, they told me I needed to make appointment to take my pets in, and that they would call me. No one ever did. Does anyone have any information on where I could find a closer rabies clinic? Thanks in advance for any info...!

Johnston county usually has their clinics in March and April. Last year they only had 1 year shots though. Call the animal shelter in Smithfield again on Monday they should be able to give you better info now since it is about time for the clinics again.

Thanks; I will call again. But if it is for only 1 year shots, I think I'll drive to Sanford, as their shots are advertised as 3 year rabies shots with proof of current shots (same shots, just only called 1 yr when no proof of current rabies shot is provided - I was informed last time we went to a clinic). They are $10 instead of $5, but well worth the drive as it would still save me time and money. Keeping up with the pets health, grooming and frontline is quite the juggling act!

http://www.snap-nc.org/ - the info is midpage

    sorry for the confusion

BUMP...and a question. The ad says that any dog over 4 months must have the vaccine. So, can you NOT get a dog vaccinated if they are under that age?

There is a vet practice in the area that will give a 3mos old pup the vaccination

There is a rabies/microchip clinic at Lake Benson Park on May 14th from 10-1pm. Rabies shots are $5 and microchips are $10, cash only. The 3 year vaccine is available with proof of a one year vaccine. All cats must be in carriers and all dogs must be on leashes.
