Volleygirl obviously has an emotional attachment to this issue so it's hard for her to be objective.

 

And I do as well since my husband IS a firefighter on the 50-210 fire department, BUT wrong is wrong and I don't think the situation was handled correctly on the firefighter's end. That's just my lil ol' opinion though.

 

I think everyone should shut up and move on.

The pole is back up ... both driveways are now unblocked.... the light is working again ..... and the world is still turning.

I'm sorry, but we have all met or heard of some (not all) firefighters, policeman etc. who get a bit wrapped up in their "authority." And I have some in my extended family of both. 8) Doesn't mean I don't respect them or the job, just means a handful of them are in it for the wrong reason, not necessarily for the public good. Not saying that is the case here by any means, because I wasn't there. 8)
