My daughter is definitely a Daddy's Girl. Been one since before she was born and we realized we were having a girl.

Nothing against the boys, but thank you, God, for my little girl!

I think I mentioned this before, my brother sang Butterfly Kisses for my first dance with my father (it was my dad's fav song and it was a surprise to him) I had him bawling his eyes out,, it was sweet. I will always remember that dance with my father :)

uhhhh, don't know my biological father and my step father is an arse.

andddddd, my mom is not much better.

    sooooo, I'm a hubby's girl

My friend Kim and I both have the same situation with absentee fathers so we officially declared "fathers dad" as BEST FRIENDS day for us. We usually exchange cards / gifts and spend time together. :hurray::hurray:

I know I know......close to a mournful country song, huh.

Well at least we're not living in a trailer with 5 kids, by 5 different men and strung out on crack.....which by all means is usually the statisic we would fall under... :jester::jester::jester:

Lastly....to all those awesome DADS out there (my hubby, my FIL, SS, Steve, just to name a few) :

THANK YOU and HAPPY FATHERS DAY on Sunday!!! You are making a world of difference in your child(ren)s lives ........more than you'll ever know.:grouphug:

Now, I'm off to pack for Wet N' Wild and a whirl wind soccer tournament.:hurray:

OMG, I'm in tears now. Kent thank you for posting these songs. I've been looking online for Daddy's Girl for so long. I used to sing this song all the time when I was little.
I am such a spoiled rotten daddy's girl.

I'll never forget the first time I sang "Daddy's Hands" in a talent show. That was the first time I had ever seen my daddy cry. I can't even think of that song even today without tears! When I got married, my father and I danced to "Daddy's Little Girl" (very old song). He picked on me for not being able to waltz so I called my mom over to finish my dance with him. What a great memory! That was the first time I had ever seen them dance together!

Ok...wiping off the tears as I just listened to it.

Actually they sang it before I came down the aisle, as they were seating the guests, my dad and I were still in the back and could hear it but we were still there together at that point so it wasn't like it was during the ceremony when I too would have lost it in front of everyone as well as him (I'm the only daughter and have 3 younger brothers.)
