Atleast 22 Killed at Virginia Tech

I heard on the news this morning that an Orange County school has extra policing today due to a 'rumor' of a planned shooting, and in Mecklenburg, (County?), a teen shot himself after mentioning shooting others. Sorry for lack of or incorrect info, not fully awake yet.

 

The individual pointed the gun at at least two other students and later when confronted by Police at a gas station, killed himself. :-(

 

So sorry for him (truly), but am also thankful no one else was hurt. There's been enough hurt to go around many times over here lately! :cry:

 

Thank you for clarifying that for me Hught. So sad, that these kids feel that things are so bad they have to turn to taking the lives of others and themselves.:cry:

 

It just makes me wonder how a person like the VT killer can get to that point in their life? You wish you could explain to kids that the things thta seem so major in HS and even college (girls, being teased etc) just don't matter.

 

He was psychotic, there's no rational explanation.

 

Good reason why I have tried not to watch any of the coverage. From your time up there you know if it can happen in Blacksburg, it can happen anywhere at anytime. The coverage should be on the victims and their families and friends. I encourage everyone to support the Hokie Hope by dressing in the maroon and orange tomorrow to show support for the true victims of this senseless tragedy

Always trying to be different. For me I have nothing orange or maroon, but will probably fix that or go see one of my hokie buddies.
