I guess it didn't take six months after all for their service to go south.

We're not price shopping, we're making sure they have it in stock before we drive over. ;) ;)

What I usually do is look it up on their website (partsamerica.com for Advance Auto) and then call them with their part number so they can check that they have one.

First of all I wasnt price shopping. I needed the part for my friends car or she wouldnt be able to get to work(pay bills, feed kids etc.). I was seeing if they have the part so I could pick it up.

As far as the negative attitude comment directed towards me(since mine was the only not so good comment). Well, I had a different experience at the business. How does that make me neg? I expect good service when I go somewhere, if that makes me neg. so be it.

There are lots of good businesses around that I love.
    CDH
    scott huneycutt insurance
    the bp on 42
    ruby tues
tim simms dentist. ( and Dr. r) now that he made my situation right.
I could go on and on
    the clubhouse
    the bakery by smithfields

Just because you had a great experience doesnt make that business good for everyone and it has to be set in stone for everyone else to go there. how is that neg?

It really makes me mad because I go to the end of the world for my friends, I have different experiences than others. Not everyone is in the same situation and for one to say it is a neg. attitude is wrong.

Now that being said, I know it was closing time for him. No need to be rude one the phone. Here is a concept, dont answer the phone if you feel that strongly about closing and not staying for anything.

thanks for listening, I have to go to school now.

PS/ one more note, it does not mean I wont go to auto zone anymore, I was telling about how I thought the man was rude on the phone. I always give the benefit of the doubt. If it continues, I stop going.
Not every comment will be good.

T4T - just to clear the air, when i posted about the negativity i had not seen your post - i just went back and checked and it looked like we were both posting at the same time - so no, the comment was not directed at you:-D i think it is great what you are doing for your friend and that you are willing to give the place another chance.
