Neighbors have 2 dogs and obviously they have NEVER been around humans or other dogs before, they bark at the wind ALL THE TIME. The owners are good though, if they see me outside digging in the flowers or hanging out on the back deck, they take them in.

No, don't hand deliver the letter to the neighbors mailbox, I meant to put a stamp on the envelope and put it in your outgoing mailbox for the mailman to deliver. If they won't control their dogs, I wouldn't chance going near their mailbox.

Cleo, I've moved out of a S/D and love it. The dogs drove me batty. Found out tonite that some have died and some have been put up. Not many are running around there anymore. 'Bout time!

I'd just deal with it, HG-way. I'm tired of being pushed around and put upon. It time those who are rude, inconsiderate and/or insensitive know about it and either learn manners or get to steppin!

How did this situation work out for you? We are having the same problem with our neighbor. They tie the dog to the front porch and it often barks and barks for no apparent reason. Saturday it woke our entire family at 7:10. That afternoon I had to turn on the radio to get some work done because it continually barked. This morning it woke my daughter and myself at 6:15 (after I was up until almost 2:00 working). My husband is going to call animal control today to see what documentation we need to be keeping. I cannot imagine how they can stand the barking and obviously don't care about the neighbors.

Talking to the neighbor about her dog is not an option. She acused another neighbor of stalking her and her children when that neighbor was just sitting at the end of her driveway watching her own three-year-old ride her bike. About a month later she accused me of stalking her when I was planting flowers at my mailbox. She's not balanced (that's a whole other story).

 

Oh, He assured me that the dogs come inside at 8PM (which was - of course a lie) but after that conversation they appear to come inside most nights.

The latest discussion I had to have with them, was asking them to clean up the dog s**t in their yard, which wafts over to my yard during the day.
