We responded to about 10 different accident scenes this morning just in our district. The first one on I-40 at the 314 about 5:30am. It was all downhill from there.
Took me 3.5 hours to get to work. Left 210 at 7:05 and got over to Blue Ridge at 10:30. I was thinking I wish I had a good movie in the van to pop in the dvd player!
I left for work about 5:45 and made it to Capitol Blvd with no problem. Knew it could be interesting when the deck was iced over and the rain was almost misty.
ouch! I left my house on 210 at 7am and I didn't get to work till 10am and was suppose to be there at 8am. It was a bad day for me, cause at 6am taking the dogs out and didn't know that they steps had ice on them and I fell down all 6 of them and hit my back pretty good. Should have known then to turn around and go back to bed lol. I laugh about it now, but man it hurts this morning. Sheri
Ouch! Hope you feel better soon! No steps involved, but early one morning, as I went to walk my dog, I stepped out on the little wooden deck that was out our back door in TN, I had no idea it had iced during the night, the dog took off, hit the end of the leash, my feet flew up in the air and I landed flat on my back. DH heard hit from in the house. I didn't walk right for a while. 8)
Thanks guys - it looks like he'll be out of work for a few days and then on light duty till he heals enough to do his reg job. Rush and KDC, hope you are both feeling no after effects from your tumbles. Ice ain't nice!
