Nope, no Starbucks...just a regular old church with a blend of hymns and contemporary music, and great Sunday Schools for my children. And, Pastor Hamm delivers wonderful sermons. He delivers them with a great blend of God's word, information, and has a bit of a wry sense of humor, which I truly enjoy. Turner Memorial Baptist Church. Love that church! Really missed that I moved too far away (IMO) to still go there. I wish that I could find a church, well basically, another preacher that preachers like Pastor Hamm. I really enjoyed him.
Enjoy?? He must make you feel good. God's word should bring conviction to your life. That's why so many here hate it. John 17:14 (KJV) I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
OMG, that is hysterical..... Relegion discussions always seem to bring out the best in folks..... ROTFLMAO...Biscuitville
Difference between a religion and a cult? If you agree with your neighbors' beliefs...its a religion. If you don't, its a cult. (tongue in cheek)

Holy crap!! Someone better put a stop to all the Boy scout, Cub scout, Girl Scout meetings etc that are held in churches before ORly gets mad..... EDIT:
Sounded to me like the old saying about medicine, "if it does not taste bad it is not working right", but that is just my take on it. Many of the posts seem to indicate one should not be "comfortable" with or hearing about God or Jesus or you are not having the "true" experience.

I like Pastor Hamm, b/c he delivered God's word in a way that related to me and to today's time that made me feel "conviction" and not get lost and bored in the way some preaachers preach and I get nothing out of it.
