Why do you not leave these people alone? Why does everyone have to believe the same way you do? How do you know they haven't "spoke to God" and found that this is exactly what he/she/it wants? :?

Well if it is possible, you have alienated me further from your religion.

Re: C3 - At least three threads and 77 posts....

I'm beginning to realize (or accept?) why I don't attend at all.

"I'm right and you're wrong" is never the beginning of a conversation, it is the end of conversation.

I really don't understand all the flack that is thrown out at C3. If it is not what you like, don't go. My family and I really like our church. If we move on to another church then we move on. I guess it really goes back to what you learned in first grade. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Exactly. When I first moved here, I visited a number of churches before I settled on one to attend regularly. I filled out the visitor cards when they were offered, and C3 is one of the few that actually had someone call me. The church was welcoming, and the person who called was very nice. When I explained to him that I was visiting several churches before I decide, his response was, "Wherever you choose to go to church, it will be good. If we can do anything for you, let us know." Even though I did not ultimately choose C3, that experience left a good impression with me.

Jesus was right and you are wrong. His way is a very narrow way.

That is what you all really object to. You have said in your heart: I will have no God over me.

When you are standing in front of God Almighty how are you going to explain that you were talking negative about one of His houses that leads several hundred souls to Him each year????!!!!!

That is what the issue is. If one attends for 1,2 or 3 yrs. and leaves, what
can be the reason except the one who truly desires God, makes a discovery God isn't there, that it is not one of His "houses"?

Or it could be one of several hundred other reasons other than this assumption. For example, one might wish to partake of some dirty rice during the services to better understand the insignificance of mankind and have to go to Bojangles for Sunday services. Of course, we know the "church of Bojangles" is not one of His houses either because only a Biscuitville will suffice.

If one were to look at every church to determine if anyone ever left that church as the proof of that being a true house of worship I doubt if there would be a single one that would stand outside of possibly a cult or two. ;)

If it takes over 1 year to figure out a church is not for you, then you are not as "in tune" as you say, in my opinion only of course. If someone leaves a church after several years, more than likely they are moving and relocating. While some may leave after that long due to dissatisfaction, it is not likely. At least that is how I have seen it.

Or, someone has begun to read their Bible and sees that the Church of Jesus Christ is to be more about grooming sheep for His Kingdom and not some secular kingdom presenting itself in His name.

I would think they would see this and realize this long before 1 to 3 years.. I know I would and I AIN'T the brightest crayon in the box......

Some don't or don't want to for reasons known only to them. For instance, churches like c3 allow one to pursue God without a change in lifestyle.

Again, the message of Jesus Christ is a very narrow message and it is exclusive. Most people get offended by it and when a preacher comes on the scene and preaches a "non-offensive" inclusive gospel. Those who believe they can have God on their own terms, will welcome him. The "non-offensive" gospel is a damning gospel. It is a "pied pyper" happening.

C3 doesn't "allow" one to pursue God without a lifestyle change. C3 facilitates one with the knowledge of the Bible and how to live a life that brings glory to God. The commitment to do so lies with the individual and his obedience and relationship with God.

once again, for the new people who have yet to deal with him at any length, wormly will not listen to reason (unless it is your reason for believing exactly what he believes) and is completely insufferable. He will never be happy with any church unless they have a fire fountain made of brimstone and daily pyrotechnic shows just to remind you what lies in the path of those who do not follow the gospel of the biscuit. Best just to skip him over, and let him say what he will... because either way he's going to say what he's going to say.
