Jennifer, this isn't about Christmas gifts but I have some gently used winter clothes and shoes that will fit some of the kids in those families. Would you ask them if they want to accept a donation of these clothes, and if so, can I get them to you to give to them so their identity remains anonymous?

    R2C,

I don't have to ask, I know. Yes, bring them on. I know they'll appreciate it!

would you be interested in an artificial tree, its not prelit - but otherwise its fine, and I may have some lights for it also.

If you want to help monaco's family with decorations, please either start another thread, or communicate in PMs.

Sorry to be ugly, but if we don't stay on topic in this thread, the needy families might get lost somewhere in between!

    Thanks so much for understanding!

So you'd rather spend $30-85.00 on a real tree instead of getting a fake one for $0 dollars right before Christmas, after you've lost everything, you're looking for a job and money is tight? NOT judging you ... just kinda weird to me I guess.

Webbie should be able to move the posts pertaining to his request for decorations to a new thread if you ask him. :)

All I'm saying is that if you have someone giving you a tree take it! Don't waste it on a real tree this year, save the $ you got from donations already.
    DANG, simmer!

See how people can be?? Back the **** up dude and maybe post it next time that someone is donating a real tree to you. Excuse people for questioning your intentions when they've worked VERY hard trying to get things for your family, including myself. I could list ALL the things my family and the families on my soccer team gave you that could have went elsewhere. It's human nature to question motives when so much has been given.

Head's up... I've cleaned out my dd's closet and have a whole box of winter stuff to give to the 4 year old little girl. If you buy for her, you might want to think of the next season and get her some spring/summer stuff (even though I can give her that stuff too. :) ) But keep in mind that the stuff I'm giving her is used, so a couple of new winter outfits would be nice to give her. Also, I don't have an everyday winter coat to give her, just a jacket, so if she needs a coat that's an idea too.
