When you had the clayton site, didn't I see you"mention" it here once or twice? Why didn't you get a banner? Or did you?

    Pot meet kettle..

I still think this wasn't selling.

I think this was just an announcement. Now if it happens over and over and over, that is a different deal. If they come on here selling item after item after item, you would be right. What is the diff. between saying cleveland draft house is here (nobody petitioned that one) and USPS? You are taking this site wayyyy to serious man. Let the webmaster call it out if he thinks it is not appropiate.JMO

Nice jab, Cliff. Nice to know that we can all count on you for your wonderful support of all of the businesses in the Cleveland area.

Last time I checked, Cliff, you were not in charge. If the webbie wants it removed it will be, otherwise, stick to your own business and let those who actually have a stake in this site do theirs.

No you didn't. As a matter of fact, I went out of my way to not mention it, as I didn't want it to be thought of as a competitor.

    Good try, though.

What you think is irrelevant. The fact is that it is a business and the post was advertising the business.

A notice would have said, "We're open and here we are". An advertisement would say, "These are our services..."

Repetiveness doesn't make it an advertisement.

Don't know, I didn't see the Draft House.

Hey, I'm not the one posting time and again slapping me down for my single post making emilie aware of the rules.

Why, if I can remind the poster of the rules and have it taken care of before the webmaster? The webmaster has much more to do than monitor all the posts in the forum. It's up to all of us to help keep the forum proper and polite.

Point blank, if webbie found it offensive, he will deal with it. I said that I have lurked for a long time in here, just never participated.

Why are there so many webmaster wanna be's in here?

Devilock, I did not address anything in my post towards you so I am not going further with this.

All I want to say is to the USPS store, thanks for letting us know you are there, I had no clue you were even back there. I think my wife is going to stop by and check it out. She will say hello.

    Have a nice evening everyone!

oh, and I think hught meant proprietor.

Personally I believe the arguments that this is a "advertising" post is ridiculous. I don't recall anyone complaining about the following posts being advertising?
    1) We will be reopening soon
    2) Karaoke @ The Flipside
    3) Free Horse
    4) Home Interior Party
    5) Mt. Zion Church BBQ Dinner
    6) Big Steve Bagels
    7) Cleveland Draft House
I appreciate these posts as it allows me to learn about the services available. I hope these type posts continue. Much rather see these types of posts than someone's political agenda.

I *think* those were brought up by regular posters here, and not by the Proprietor themselves... cell phones, post offices...

I promote 40/42.com by word of mouth to many people. If it were not for me, then the gaming place that moved in next to my old store would not have known about it. I have told many people about this site and promoted it. Banner ads may not be that expensive but they are still out of some people's budgets at times.
