Funny, I heard about them when I went to Morgan's Gymnastics open house and Time Sink had an event going on, too. We won their raffle, and got a Battlestar Galactica trading card game.

 

Cleo....seems to me blus was trying to make the point that he had pointed Timesink in the direction of 4042.com and not the other way around. Atleast that was how it came across to me.

Well, Just wanted to remind you all that we have had numerous discussions on "wouldn't it be nice to have a real post office" out here. Now you've got it, or one very close to it with all the same prices as any post office, and someone gets a bug up their butt cause it was the "owner" who said they were open now. I can't believe that one post started this crap. Especially when nothing like this ever happened in the gazzillion times that blus posted about his store, even a special he was running, his closing down, reopening...sorry, not to pick on you :cry: ...but it's just odd that this has caused such a problem.

I'd like to add that I used the Cleveland Oaks CPU today and they saved me a lot of time by being in the area! The owners were really nice and helpful! When asked how I heard they were open I said from 4042.com. They immediately said they do properly advertise here and had no intentions of causing such an issue to let us know in the discussion group. I felt really bad for them and embarrassed to say that I posted here cause of it.

Hey Jen, not only are the stamps the same price, they have really cool ones to choose from! I know a stamp is a stamp, but it's nice to have something different for a change.

 

I can see where you are coming from ken...really, but what harm did they really do??? I for one would not have known that I could go there today and would have wasted time and money on gas going to Clayton or Garner.

I guess it's kindof like the political threads...we dread them, and can choose to click on them or not. I personally skip a lot of threads just based on the subject line. It doesn't take much time either to click on it and see if it's something worth a minute to read or not.

I've never noticed an abundance of advertising by individual owners of businesses. Just a few and they seem to be regulars. Many restaurants and services have been advertised here by word of mouth. Whether good or bad. AND most of them I've benefited from knowing they were open or from the information posted here.

2 questions about the contract post office:

1) Does it accept metered mail?
2) If so, is it considered 27529?

If number 1 is yes, this will help out a lot by being another place I can drop off the eBay packages, especially since the Garner PO closes at 12:30 on Saturdays!

I agree with rcmommy all the way! and Kaci, cleo, tangerine, devilock and anyone else, are we talking about the Tit4Tat thing? I am a little confused. I noticed it was indiredtly commented towards me, starting with devilock's comment about how long I have been around here. What is the deal with this? It's like a monkey on my back and I can't shake it off.

 

I don't recall Tit4Tat's name being mentioned...so how'd you know about that? and how'd you know the correct form of the user name?

Look back, people have posted that name all over. I have been addressed as Tit4tat in an earlier thread. That's how. So what makes you go hummmm? The name wasn't mentioned in this thread but as I looked back I noticed the comments made back towards ken's post about how long I have been here. Then it says we knew we were right. So I decided to ask what people were right about. It is not to hard to figure out.

I am asking. No disrespect intended. I just don't understand these comments.

Your wording and a lot of the things you say are exactly like Tits....and your timing for finally posting on the board, if you'd been lurking for so long.

You don't sound like a man at all...and you claim to be at work, etc. but then ask about the free dental care? I, along with most of the others on here believe you are Tit, sitting at home drawing your disability check....

 

So, I have to join at a certain time?Sorry, noone told me. Would you like a pic me or want to meet? I have offered. I am not allowed to post during the day like the rest? I carry insurance on my family but not dental. I didn't ask, I was only responding to a post made. I am not utilizing it but I have a friend who's daughter is having problems with her teeth and they can't afford dental care. BTW, their daughter is going to that clinic on Sat. Oh, I don't get any disability I work full time.

So when I signed up should I have given some kind of background check?

Well, I guess you are allowed to think what you will. I will just stay confused and keep posting.
