The chamber did try about 10 years ago. Best I can remember, the chamber presented a list of names to the postal service. The list was approved and ballots were sent out to 5000 or so people who lived in the immediate 40/42 area. We voted, and the winner was Cleveland Springs. However, the PO said, "oops, we made a mistake, that name is already taken." I think there was some BS about no zip codes being available either. Anyhow, I remember the Cleveland Post reported that the chamber was out of money, so it would not be pursued further at that point.
