The mussels were relocated upstream of the construction area. I will probably ask USFWS about the construction but they are not as strict with private developers as they are with federally funded projects.
I heard a rumor several months back that that's where they're gonna build the new high school for the Cleveland area. Don't know if it's true...
More Homes!!!! A development is going in on that side of the street. About 200 homes starting in the $250's. The old house is going to be turned into a library/museum of some sort, possibly Civil War. There will be more houses built at a later time near the old house (another 200-300).
Sad to say that $250K does not sound all that nice anymore... Wonder if the homes will come with life jackets for when the next time Swift Creek floods?
I don't know about this because this area is not on the list of approved subdivisions by JoCo. Where did you get this info?
I think the old white house is on the historical register, civil war era, it would be nice if they could keep it that way.
233 acres means unless the run sewer to the tract and rezone it to PUD the most houses they can put in there is 349. You have about 1/3 of the property in the 100 year flood which means, in most cases, no houses in that area so that leaves about 156 acres of high and dry land to develop. At a 1.5 density thats 234 houses. Thats a far cry from 400-500 houses. Unless they go sewer and rezone.
Yes, near the bridge where they have been clearing trees. If you are coming from 42 it's on the right before you get to the bridge, before South Hills and Pleasant Woods.
I just know basic information and not all the details. From what I understand the property is rented and the developer already owns the property.
Looks like the property has not changed hands since 1985 unless the developer has bought the property in the last week.
Hope it doesn't happen but if it does it's really going to pi55 off that man on the golf cart with the "Stay on the road and off my grass" sign in his front yard.
Perhaps some of the information being passed on is not entirely accurate. I hope that there won't be any new building going on there.
