Cornwallis Rd??-- what's being built

The man with the Golf Cart & the man that ownes the cows (With his son) are known as the Ford Brother's. The were the long time owners of the land on both side of the road in that area for years.
I understood they sold the land ages ago & had some sort of long term agreement to 'run cows' there.

You see them "holding court'' under the shelter of the farm shop building many days. I'm sure if you stopped by to have a saw sharpened & shoot the breeze you sould get the FULL STORY from them... and meet some real native long time JoCo-ers.

 

JoCo Planning and Zoning department has checked it out and this is what they say...

Although the answer is brief it doesn't look like it is connected to any subdivision.

My mother-in-law at one time lived in that big white house, her parents owned it and her first child was born there. That land is not owned by the Fords, never has been, their land is before that land. Yes, the Fords were given a chance for lifetime rights to their land and there was talk from the buyer about developing the land, it's been a long time ago though. Glenn Ford took the lifetime rights but Henry Ford and his wife took the money and moved.
