Harley I just looked and I do still have your info. Kaci there will be plenty to share....I checked last night when I got home and I have about $40 of VA Slims coupons. I started back up a while back but have picked a new quit date of Feb. 4. Wish me luck!!

I didn't learn of this special until Wednesday! I purchased over $100 at Lowe's late on Tuesday nite (using up my expiring coupons). Despite my chatting with the checkout woman about couponing, and trying to get my expenses down, she DID NOT SAY A WORD about the 10% off special. So much for caring for the customer so they won't go to Walmart!

 

I was out and about in Cary this afternoon and found some good buys you might want to know about:

Kroger:
Grapes - 99 cents per pound
Grape tomatoes - $1.00 for a 10 oz container

Target in Cary at Crossroads:
Kids snow boots on sale 75% off. Reg price-$19.99, Sale price -$4.98
Men's boxer shorts - 75% off, $1.75 - $2.24.
One spot stuff is now marked down to 50 cents. The had some cute
water bottles, jump ropes, photo albums, workout CD's, pens, foot
and hand lotions, bath gels, bath scrubbers, and more (can't
remember everything).

I hear that Target White Oak also had some good deals on kids shoes.

Global Bazarre is now marked down to 30% off.

Harris Teeter:
Wonder bread 100% whole wheat and the white bread are on sale for
$1.50. The 55 cent coupon from last weeks paper says Do Not Double
BUT the bar code starts with a 5 and it did double automatically at
HT today.....so the loaf of bread was 40 cents!

Cucumbers are 79 cents and looked pretty good.

Orville Red. popcorn is BOGO free and if you use 2 of the 40 cent
coupons, you get a great deal!

I don't understand why some coupons say, "Do not double." Doesn't this come out of the grocer's pocket? Why would the product manufacturer care?

 

If it is a manufactures coupon, the grocer gets reimbursed face value plus a small amout for a handling fee. (less than one cent)

Is there anything constructive we can do with our expired coupons?

It seems like I heard somewhere that military personel can use them on base even if they are expired?
