We're their cash cow. As long as they can get all the money out of this area, they don't give a flip about anything else. They talk a very good game but, time and again, they prove through their actions that they just want the money.

Personally? I think that it should be removed by any means possible. Through another thread a LONG time ago, we found out that the cross didn't have a permit either.

What would be the best thing ever is if someone/s went up there in broad daylight and did it. Ballsy, yes. Bet they'd win respect of a lot of the community also.

No I don't have signs up there, or anywhere. I was just telling you the sign ordances as told to me by the two cities.

But hey, I don't like the color of your house, I for one am sick and tired of seeing it, so I'm gonna sneak up one day while your at work and repaint it. I think you have too many cars in your driveway so I'm gonna go haul one off.

You may not LIKE it but it's not YOURS to do anything with.

 

i dont care much for cary but this is one area about them i do like. they dont allow signs like the crap up at 42/1010. hell on my way to the cherry point airshow last weekend i saw a billboard that said " bush/cheney in 04 "

The question is, can a group legally remove the signs? I have a truck and would be willing to donate some time to driving an area to remove the signs. Can we do it?

 

I have read two articles on this.

One was a guy in Dallas ten years ago who everyday on his way to work would stop and take up the signs and put them in his van.

I just read a few months ago about a gal in Chapel Hill who kept taking up signs for apartment complexes near her house. The development company complained to the police and found out she was doing it and she was arrested. I think we was charged with theft.

Personally I've taken one sign that really peeved me and ran over a couple for the hell of it. I was planning to just run them over when I had a junker of a truck.

You could always say you were trying to pull over to the right of way.
