According to 1270wmpm - looks like a couple of fellas did a little stripping at the club. They stripped the copper wiring - guess they didn't want to see it go to waste? 2 Charged With Stealing Copper From Burned Strip Club Authorities are leaning towards arson as the cause of a fire January 6 that destroyed a strip club. The Crazy Horse on Highway 70 between Clayton and Garner was destroyed in an early morning fire that is now being treated as suspicious. A search warrant indicated investigators detected a strong odor of gas following the fire. While the fire remains under investigation, Wake County authorities have arrested two men who allegedly stole 150 pounds of copper from the burned remains of the adult entertainment club. Jonathan Hockaday, 38, and John Henry Johnson Jr., 42, were charged with the copper wire theft.
Or just two guys who know what they can get per pound of copper and they saw a way to get some quick cash
of course they are. assuming, of course, they're not arrested for arson or anything.... as i predicted on page one i think, it'll be a bigger, flashier booby palace. it will soon become locally known as "the tit majal"
Of course he could have really meant it, if I were innocent and had all these folks pointing fingers at me, I might try to find someone who has information to exonerate myself or find who tried to destroy my livelihood. That said, insurance fraud was one of the first uniformed conclusions I jumped to.
i have no reason to think it was set on fire, honestly, other than the fact that they apparently were facing some fines for indecent exposure (mentioned earlier in this thread), and the investigators smelled gas (although, the junk cars thing could explain that)
the junk cars wouldnt have anything to do with the smell of gas unless you walk into the shop where all of the fluids are drained than you can smell gas. we have video surveilance and could see the smoke and than the flames start rolling
so you're telling me that hundreds of junk cars sitting less than 50 feet away, in a spot that's had junk cars sitting in it for like 40 years, couldn't possibly explain the smell of gasoline? especially considering that the entire junkyard was restocked less than two years ago with current vehicles? i'm a car guy. grew up in a gas station. been around cars all my life. been in junkyards and country garages and backyard shops a thousand times. dirt holds gas and oil and the smell for decades. where's ken? back me up dude
