I added up the value of the meat I got today, it was over $150 (sticker price). The price of the bundle was $99, minus Le's coupon it was $89!! It was a great assortment- they were out of something and asked if they could substitute and I am very pleased with what they picked. I have a food saver, so I zapped up some dinner size servings and it took several trips downstairs to the freezer!!

agreed Yes they do have quality meats-and at a good price.I love that store.I do not care for the meat dept at Food Lion.
I don't care for Food Lion period... One lane with a real person open? And useless self checkout that takes thirty minutes cause the dang thing don't work half the time. I refuse to use a store (ANY kind) that doesn't have enough people working the registers, weither they have the self checkout or not. Until RFID is perfected enough I can just push the buggy right out the door and it reads by itself, I'll be a cold day in you know where before I have to ring up my own stuff. No customer service? Fine, I'll go pay a little more down the road. Bothers me not in the least.
Tangy the truckload sale at DR's is definitely worth your drive - i got hamburger there last time for it was either $1.29 or $1.49 a pound and they had every type of meat available for big discount prices.
One day (the way the world is going now) there will be nothing BUT self check outs , then whatcha gonna do? :neutral:
