What facts? You mean the fact that there were several DNA results, including one by her boyfriend, but not a single Duke lacross player?

Perhaps the fact that only lacross players were shown in the image lineup, against NC state laws?

How about the fact that, again, against NC laws, the DA keeps withholding evidence that is in favour of the accused?

How about the fact that DA Nifong declared then guilty before there was any specific charges filed?

Yep, they sure did. It's called "innocent until proven guilty. Until the trial is held, and the players proven guilty, they are innocent.

You nailed it Clif.... and just out of curiosity, what happened to all those "civil rights" groups who were howling for Lacross blood when this started? It's been erie quiet from them for quite a while....... talk about egg on the face...

 

How about developing a little reading comprehension before you start posting on a discussion board questioning what I am trying to say. My entire post was directed to the person who questioned what the accuser had done wrong, and I simply told them to read the facts that we know so far before making a decision.

Never in my post did I say she did or didn't ruin these guys lives. If they are found guilty of the act then yes their lives are ruined. If they are found innocent of the crime then their lives are not ruined but will be tainted by this incident.

As to the granola bar comment, I'm not totally sure how it was intended so I'll leave that alone for now.

DA drops rape charges but keeps kidnapping and sexual assault charges.
Accuser not sure they penetrated her. What a crock!
Nifong should be disbarred.

 

The Stripper picked them out of a line-up saying that they raped her but now she says she can't testify that she was raped.

The boys team of lawyers should immediately begin slamming her with lawsuits about this false police report and accusation.

 

And release the name of the accuser.

 

Isn't it a felony to give a false statement to police in NC?

The fact that she 'now doesn't remember' doesn't fit the bill as an adequate excuse.

This girl ruined the lives of these young men and their families. No matter what happens, they will likely always carry this hunk of junk around with them.

If there was no rape - then how can there be sexual assault with no DNA evidence? The kidnapping charge is laughable too.

Nifong should burn big-time for not dismissing all charges yesterday and letting these guys and thier loved ones have a decent holiday.

I hope he gets his license to practice law taken away and hope the so-called accuser finds herself a seat in the defendants chair with a hefty sentence slapped on her.

The city of Durham should get their checkbook out and get ready to pay the three accused a respectable sum for the crap Nifong put them through. All the junk with Nifong withholding evidence that would have helped the three accused should have him in civil court sitting in a defendants chair as well.

This whole case is a pathetic joke, it's a shame lives have been ruined as a result of liars, egos and political BS.

 

Feel free to talk trash now. But, I do think Nifong is the Durham County DA, not the Durham city DA.

 

After Reagan using this as a defense in the Iran/Contra affair this became a little harder to prosecute. The Comedian/Columnist Lewi$ Grizzard did a comedy rift on this one time, it was hilarious and scary all at the same time. :?
