yeah, i guess it is pretty useless to have one of the top 10 universities in the US identify a kid a "talented" and help open doors for them at an early age me thinks someone's jealous her kids didn't get picked.
Wow. This thread is turning out much different than I imagined. Many have mentioned bragging - I would align myself with those who believe it may give a child an advantage, even if small, when it comes to college. Encourging academic growth by getting a little recognition could also go a long way. These are my main motivation for enrolling my child. Thanks for all the insight.
