I have a recipe for dill dip that is great with veggies that people really seem to like when we go places. I usually get asked to make that, or a yummy 7 layer taco dip that is really good too. I can pm the recipes for either if you want. But there have been so many good suggestions that your table will be buckling. LOL.
I have another one that is a good munchie food... This used to be an old Tupperware recipe that went with their huge "Thatsa Bowl", I used to make it and take it to parties in that bowl when I sold Tupperware. 1 bag of small or stick pretzels 1 box of your favorite Chex style cereal 1 bag of oyster crackers (1 actually use 1/2 the bag, these seem to be the least favorite in the mix) 1 can of salted peanuts 1 package of powdered Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix 2 TBSP Dillweed 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 paper bag Dump the first 4 ingredients into the paperbag and shake or mix-up well. Then alternately drizzle the oil, sprinkle some of the dill and ranch dressing mix and shake in the bag well, repeat until all ingredients are gone. Leave everything in the paperbag and lay on its side, turn the bag frequently for a couple of hours (the bag is absorbing any extra oil). Disclaimer: This is a really addictive snack mix and I can't be held responsible! Also.. if I could find the pumpernickel rounds that are in the other marketed party mixes, I would throw those in too. I suppose you could always buy the small sliced pumpernickel loaf in the deli area and toast them yourself and put them in. I would substitute those in a heartbeat for the oyster crackers.
Shrimp Delights 1 jar of Kraft Old English Cheese Spread 1 stick of butter 1 can of baby shrimp 1 package of English Muffins Melt, cheese spread and butter, mix in shrimp. Spread mixture evenly on English Muffin halves, freeze until party day. On party day, pop them in the oven under the broiler until bubbly, (about 10 mins.), cut in quarters, serve. Double or triple the recipe for more of course! Friends of mine request me to make this whenever they come over.
