Felon Coming to Cleveland

If, and I said if, you take the law into your own hands then you will be a vigilante. I have no regrets using those words.

Because you could care less for your family doesn't mean that this felons brother should or that he should be taken to task for doing so.

 

I care very much for my family, so assume what you like. In my case, what I dont care for is low life manipulalating scum that tried to detroy it regardless of the bloodline, but that might be beyond your scope.

I dont know how this man feels about his brother and I dont really care and I have no regrets in using those words. I do know that I could never reach out to a such a brutal maniac such as this regardless of who he is. Dont worry though, your moral high ground is safe

 

Don't kill the messenger here but I heard that he is in the process of being exonerated for the crimes he was charged with. I am not sure if this is true but this is what I heard.

Congratulations! We did it!

Congratulations Cleveland/Garner! We have successfully lobbied to prevent Danny Chance from obtaining a 24-hour pass to the Jordan Ridge subdivision. I want to thank all of the individuals who participated and made phone calls and signed petitions to make sure their objections were heard.

A big thanks to Sheriff Bizzell, DA Susan Doyle, Representative Langdon and Senator Fred Smith for speaking on behalf of their constituents in Cleveland/Garner and objecting to Danny Chance receiving a 24-hour pass to our community.

Another thank you goes out to Ms. Cochran, Superintendent at Wake Correctional Center, and George Currie, Central Region Director, Division of Prisons, for listening to our concerns and allowing our concerns to be a part of the decision making process. We appreciate the time and consideration everyone applied to this situation.

Okay, so what now?

Okay, so what now. If he is not coming right now what about when he is paroled? Didn't someone say earlier that he is going to be paroled next year? What do you do then? Who are you going to contact then? Better start thinking about it now, and taking action now. Also, where is he now going have his 24 hour pass. It could be just down the road.

 

These people are getting less than 10 years for killing, dismembering and hiding the bodies of two people. What?

 

Stay Involved

We are definitely going to be following Danny Chance. If he makes another request for a home release pass the process will start again. The Wake Correctional Center will investigate how Danny will be received in the community the pass is requested to, just as they did with our community. It is imperative that neighbors let neighbors know if this happens. The only reason we were successful in preventing the pass is that we all joined together to voice our collective objection. If we did not spread the word to each other and object, Danny would have already had his first pass without any of us even knowing that there was a kidnapper/rapist/murderer in our neighborhood.

Now that we have been able to prevent a home release pass we can focus on influencing Danny’s parole with the Parole Commission. If we cannot prevent Danny Chance from being paroled then he must be considered and registered as a predatory sex offender and as a condition of his release not be permitted to live close to any schools or businesses that serve children. We will begin that process closer to his scheduled release. We are currently starting preliminary plans to disseminate information and a petition to the public. We’ve been told that any input should be made around November and that if we try to do it now it may get buried in the file. We stand a better chance of attaching conditions to Danny’s release if the case is made closer to his release date.
