Yes we do keep the dogs inside when they are scheduled to come. The intended point of my post was the $3.06 per gallon since OP had asked about price. I was just rambling. Shouldn't have even brought the dogs up.

We have Amerigas. They came and filled up about a month ago and the price was around $2.63/gallon. I thought that was expensive. $3.06/gallon, wow. Amerigas offers special summer fill-ups when the rate is cheaper. I didn't know that they did that, and Customer Service doesn't offer that info, I found out from a friend that they do that. We normally do about 2 fillups per year.

Okay, I called the co. that installed the logs for the builder, no helpful info, bordered on rudeness. I called the NC Propane Gas Assoc. (787-8485). They were very nice and helpful.
A company they recommended that I didn't know about was Parker in Smithfield. The lady in their office said it was $65 for the set up if I owned my tank. So the plan now is to purchase our own tank and have them install it unless anyone has any better suggestions. Anyway, thanks for all the advice and I'll let you know how it turns out!

Does Parker in Smithfield also deliver Propane or they are just a hook up company? If so, how much if you own you own tank and what is the contract? like so there are no hidden charges for non use?
