First the good news...then the bad news. The good news: Did you know that if you slather your French toast with Peanut butter and then put maple syrup on it, it tastes like a Reese Cup? Now for the bad news: When I was pregnant, I would go to McDonalds and get a fish sandwich, and remove the bun. Then I would pour strawberry milkshake on the piece of fish and eat it with gusto. Don't know what vitamin or mineral I was lacking to eat that. Makes me sick to think about it now.
Cold spagettio's or ravilio's (Chef Boyardee, or Franco American) right out of the can. Started that when I was in middle school... i had some extensive dental work done which left my gums and teeth very sensitive to hot/cold... so I would eat those right out of the can at room temp. and be quite content. I still do it on occasion, but I have been known to actually put them in a bowl and nuke them from time to time as I've gotten older and on a cold day.
You have no idea how well that post goes with your avatar. I've been reading and keeping up with all these dietary curiosities and I must say I haven't read anything that is a complete gross out. There's a few things I wouldn't eat myself (such as sardines), but it's only because it simply doesn't taste good to me (I'm the only Cajun on the planet that doesn't like seafood). In my life, I've eaten and enjoyed what many would consider odd (Pepsi and milk or peanut butter and ketchup), but I'm certainly not embarrassed to admit it. My current "oddity" (which I'm still not embarrassed to admit) is eating french fries with either mayonnaise or sour cream. (I do like french fries dipped in a shake, but they have to be extra salty)
Nothing like fresh cooked Tapioca pudding after it's been in the fridge for a short bit of time while it is still a bit warm. OH, BABY!!!!!!!!!!
The Mayo or Sour Cream is actually pretty good. And you are right...the fries need to be salty. Wendy's fries are not as good as Mickey D's with the shake.
We still talkin' foods? ... I like potato chips in my ham sandwiches, mayo (hellman's) not mus-My Friend. My son will dip anything he's eating into anything he's drinking. I can't begin to make a list. Sometimes I have to leave the room.
When I was growing up I'd eat Dorito and mus-My Friend sandmiches.... and warm potato salad sandmiches
I like my fries in Dukes myself...emmm good! I have a friend who eats ketchup on everything....I mean everything!
My daughter does that with the ketchup. She puts it on all meat even steak and chicken. We recently went out to eat and she had steak & baked potato and asked for ketchup there was none at the table and I asked the waiter for it he looked at me like wtf for lol
My son does that too. Running out of ketchup is a state of emergency at my house. DH is almost as bad. I hope DS grows out of it, it drives me nuts. A properly prepared steak doesn't need ketchup or steak sauce.
Potato chips dipped in ketchup, or a good spaghetti sauce.... yummo! Wise potato chips are best for it though.. a little greasy and good and salty..
