We went to Babcock a few weeks ago. Of all the places we've been, their pricest were some of the lowest ... yet the quality was a little less than some other stores.

    This weekend we went to:

the warehouse place on Atlantic (probably would only buy matresses there),

Rooms to Go Kids (nice furniture ... higher cost),

    Rooms to Go

a discount furniture place next to Rooms to Go ... had good prices and some nice Lane & Ashley furniture ... some new .. some floor models with imperfections

Lazy-Boy ... expensive and the only store we did not find anything we liked

    Haverty's

Ashley Furniture ... this is the only store the sales person stalked us and made it hard to shop. He could not answer many of the questions we did have about furniture.

Of all the sofa's we looked at ... Lane qualtiy impressed us the most with construction

We went in search of dinette sets this weekend. We went to Ashley where we didn't find what we were looking for, Heavners which I love but also didn't have what we were looking for and then went to Gallery in Smithfield. I really liked a table there but it was more than I wanted to pay. The salesman asked me what I liked about it and went to his catalogs and found us several options in our price range. We are going back today to order the one we liked. If the quality of the dinette is good (it is Ashley brand) I will probably go back to them for a sofa. Everything seems to be brand name. Oh and they have bunkbeds! They also have a large purple dollhouse bed that my girls fell in love with! Anyone have any experiences with Gallery?

Went to Heavers today and was impressed by the prices and furniture quality. I'll be checking back there periodically.

Where is Gallery and do they have a web site?

Gallery Furniture is on Brightleaf Blvd. in Smithfield. They do have a website I believe it is just galleryfurniture.com but you can google it. I went back there yesterday to order my dinette and again was impressed with their customer service. I also fell in love with a sectional!

I have not purchased anything at the store but I do know the owners. Very nice. Hope all goes well. Don't forget to barter.

DO NOT... Go to RTGK... I will sleep on the floor and let my kids have my bed b/f I go there again. They employ certified re-My Friend for sales, service reps, & managers. I called them F-ing idiots more times than one over the phone during the 3 month long dispute.

Ugh, you just brought back nightmares.

Wow...ok...good to know...thanks! Actually, I don't think I am, think I'm going to use a decorator I know to help me with the whole room anyway. We're going to just redo the kid's entire room, and we have some other things we need done around the house as well. She gave me a book full of bunk beds, and I'm just waiting on some prices from her, I think she said they sell them at Carolina Kids on Glenwood (?) but she said the prices are good, I told her I didn't want to spend over $1000 on a bunk bed. I will say RTGK did have one very, very nice cherry bunk bed that was gorgeous and seemed to be very nice made, but it was twin/twin only, and we wantet twin/full. but it was gorgeous. But thank you for the input, I like to hear opinions, good and bad.
