You may need to spell out what that means for a few folks. It is in the Pledge of Allegiance, but I doubt most know what it means.
He was right about saying Indians are lazy....Let me rephrase. Indians who have a reservation and are recognized by the U.S. as an Indian group are lazy. I have seen it first hand.
I didn't say he was right, nor did I say he was wrong. He said what he wanted to say, just as I did. I DIDN'T HEAR IT. I happen to listen to him every morning and have since I moved here in 1995. I happen to find him funny, that is why I listen to him. MY CHOICE, IS TO LISTEN TO HIM. For those who are upset with what he said, don't listen. It is as simple as that.
As does everyone else. You don't have to like what he says, You get to make the choice not to listen.
Actually, you also have the choice and the right to complain about the content of the broadcast, as is done under public license.
Thanks, and I agree some of it is a bit out there, but in this case it should be a wake up call to the station. They kept him on when he made the stupid statements about bicycle riders, which was worse than this. If he had learned there would not be another incident this soon, so they are now faced with the proof of a continuing problem and one which could be used in the review of their license.
It's entertainment. If you're not entertained, don't listen. Since so many people still listen, he stays on. He is entertaining, IMO.
Some believe dog fighting is entertainments as well, but there are laws against it. Radio is entertainment but there are regulations concerning the license and every station must provide a benefit to the community to retain their license. Some entertainment does not benefit the community in the manner required. Anyone who promoted violence against a portion of the community should not be on the air, IMO.
I just want to know something all those that are upset over some jokes made about someone's race. Do you hate all blonde jokes, fat jokes, and four eyed jokes. Its all the same no matter how you slice it. It was meant to be funny not to hurt your poor little feelings. God forbid now no one can joke about anything any more.
I agree...if you don't like what he says, don't listen. You have that freedom to choose. You do have a right to complain on a public forum, also. Did anyone ever think that this is why he has a top radio show. Obivously, not too many people have been upset in the past.
