KDC-I've been wanting to see My sister's keeper too, but think I've talked myself into waiting to watch it in my own home, because I know I'm gonna cry! But I found the employees there very nice as well, the girl at the concessions even asked us what we were seeing and told us we would love it.
Thanks so much for the info! I thought the only theater around here that charged $2. was the Howell Theater in Smithfield. They've stopped having weekday movies except at night since school started back or we would have gone Friday when the kids were out. Nice to know we have another affordable option. Note: There are no discounts at their snack bar either and if a person tries to sneak in food or drink of their own, they WILL be caught. lol. opcorn: We were going to go to Smithfield 10 Friday but decided we had better uses for the $30.00 + it would have cost for 3 people.
I was just there a few weekends ago with my children and I don't know that I would let them go by themselves to that paticular theatre. While watching the movie there was a lot of disruption going on by other teenagers. About 30 minutes from the end of the movie one teenager stood up and yelled out what the plot secret was. I not very happy. Although unlike the Howell they weren't on the hunt for brought in food!
I took my kids this Friday to see Up there. Loved the movie, my 9 yo can't wait to see it again and my 3 yo didn't blink I think for the entire time the movie was playing. Anyway...the snack prices are typical for movie theaters, but it still beats paying $9 to see a movie on top of that! And if you go with a friend (girls night out) then you save more, since your kids aren't begging for everything they can consume!!
