I was on my way back from Spivey's Corner yesterday and it was 2.99 there, at a small station on the same side of Benson on Hwy 242 it was 2.99 then literally two miles up the road at Hwy 50 and I-95 it was 3.29. The bas-My Friend. Hell, if I owned the business I'd want as much profit too but it still stinks.
Will the 4042 WalMart have a gas station? If so, that will bring gas prices down at 4042. You may not like WalMart but this is a plus for the 4042 area. The area has been raped by the gas station owners long enough. And if the stations close to I40 want to continue highway roberry of motorists the locals can drive a few hundred yards and save some cash. If they do not have a gas station then gas prices will continue to be higher in this area.
those stations at 40/42 pee me off.....why dont they lower their prices? I paid $2.87 at the freakin beach this past weekend!
$2.59 (with my card) @ Lowes Foods!!! 42/50 gas station. They have a deal where you can save per gallon depending on how much you spent on your grocery bill. I saved $.10/gallon today. :hurray::hurray:
It amazes me how this particular time, prices seemed to have dropped faster than they rose. A month ago, I was grateful to see $3.40/gallon for regular while I was up north. Out here on New Bern Ave at the Walmart today it was $2.48, or $2.45 if you use a Walmart card to pay. On the news this morning they showed $2.26 at a Murphy (Walmart) gas station in Zebulon. I can't remember the last time it only cost me $55 to fill my jeep up. :jester:
Yesterday at the intersection of Hwy 111 and Hwy 70 in Goldsboro, 2.38....Here I come back to the 2.60's and 2.70's. I'm fed up with this crap. Four or five dollars a tank difference takes it's toll.
Was told today that it was something like $2.26 at Sams in Goldsboro. I'm sorry, but Sams in Garner is close enough it ought to be the same price. All the stations around here are taking the prices down just as slow as they can, still reaming us just as much as they possibly can. Dang my butt hurts!!!
