 My two cents: I've only been here less than a year (including the previous screen name:mrgreen and I have never noticed a clique. There are some regulars who have been here a long time that know each other pretty well, but that doesn't make them a clique! I think Hughy mentioned before that the 4042 get-togethers are open to everyone, and that alone should give anyone a clue that there is no clique. I think if you are easily offended or take things too seriously, you can judge things differently than they really are.
Exactly. Usually they get their knickers in a twist when they come on acting stupid then get mad when the red carpet isn't rolled out. Not everyone likes everyone else in real life, a message board is no different.
Really. The fastest way to make friends is to barge into somebody's house, kick up your feet on their coffee table, and start telling them what they are doing wrong. Then you have every right to get offended when they don't offer you a glass of lemonade and invite you over for another intervention.
I've never met anyone here in real life. I just see that when a new person comes aboard, they never get a chance....most of them anyway. Like you said, it's a "message board'. So why does it seem like a newbie has to "earn" anything? And I know there are "trolls" out there and people may say I'm one. I just like sticking up for newbies. Nothing wrong with that. I do not "hate" anyone either. But, IMO, sometimes, the "older" members here act like they are the "cat's meow" and really get a bit rediculous themselves. Rather "trollish", IMO.
Why don't you read what Cleo wrote. I think that about covers it. The only ones that don't "get a chance" are the ones that flaunt the rules or do like she said and come on here chastising the board.
