Did I read correctly that this person is running a repair shop out of his home in a subdivision? I'm all for small business BUT wonder if his neighbors appreciate this business. I'm wondering if the location is properly zoned. Some times people don't think about those things until you are that neighbor.
I think you were talking to him when I picked mine up, LOL. So far, I am quite pleased. I left him another one to work on.
actually i believe he has all the correct paperwork, licenses, permits in order, the shop is totally separate from his home.
I just got back from there, and trust me, it's legit. He certainly must have the appropriate permits etc. for where is at. It's not a secret from his neighbors.
I know!!! Pulled the part out to show me without me even having to ask! Rode with me in my van to help figure out the noise I was talking about. I don't get the feeling he's after me for needless repairs to be sure, because someone dishonest could have had a field day with that fire.
exactly, i have lived down here for almost 10 years now and for the first time since i left VA i have found a mechanic that i trust and it has been a hard and long search:hurray:
I just wanted to let everyone know that Brian is the best. I recently took my van to a different shop in the area for a full tune-up, all belts changed ... whatever other regular maintenace things that were needed done. When I took the van into the 1st shop, I asked them to check the A/C because it was making noises and not operating properly. I was charged over $800 for the work done & was assured that the A/C was working fine. Within days of bringing my van home from that shop, the A/C compressor went out completely sending metal shavings all through the lines. In addition, the fuel filter was apparently not installed correctly & while stopped at a traffic light, fuel started spraying out of the van. Because of you wonderful 40/42 folks, I had Brian's number. When the van broke down at the stop light, Brian showed up within 15 minutes of my call to him. He climbed under the van and corrected the problem immediately!!!! In addition, he repaired the A/C for an extremely reasonable price. Brian is awesome. Wonderful work ethic, very friendly, unbelievable prices, quick service & he does a great job. My husband was soooo impressed with the work Brian did on my van, that my hubby will be taking his work van into Brian for repairs tomorrow. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone.
Great Mechanic I just got my truck back from Brian. He is great. Fixed it in one day. Very reasonable price. Thanks to you guys on 4042 for the info. I highly recommend him. He will get all my work now.
He's done work on two of our three in the past couple weeks. I am delighted with him. Got him on speed dial!!
