Not sure what would be cheating, but the authentic greek salad has tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, kalamata olives, feta cheese, and olive oil. while the greek salad is iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, red onions, feta cheese, and oil/vinegar dressing. Craig
And I was HOOKED on those when prego with DD1. Even started buying Kalamata olives at the grocery store to eat alone.
I went to Greeko's today to get my Greek Salad fix after the Easter Egg Hunt and of COURSE I had coupon in hand. My coupon was taped to the door with a sign that said they did not accept those coupons, that they were not authorized. They would give 10% off your bill instead of the BOGO deal the coupon offers. OK. But how does someting like that happen? And the full menu was on the back of the coupons? Anyways, I left. To feed my kids and I it would have been probably 15 dollars, with 1.50 off. I liked the idea of five bucks off. So, I went home and made a chef salad.
It may have been an arrangement made with the previous owners?? It doesn't mean that they still shouldn't honor it if the name of the restaurant remains the same, DH had a fit a while back about the same sort of situation wtih the DQ near the Lowes Foods in Clayton. It creates better "goodwill" and customer service if they would honor them, IMHO.
I agree. I did not notice the sign until I had the door half open. We read it, and I said aloud so they could hear "What? They won't honor their coupon? Welp, let's go eat someplace else then". That "someplace else" was actually home. There's a difference between 10$ and 15$ for lunch, and when you're on a budget... Plus, you know I took the girls to La Piazza the other day.
