How many Hurricanes season ticket holders on here?

The new jerseys were pretty on the ice last night, very sharp looking!
We had great seats, 6 rows behind the 'canes bench, too bad they didn't win though. :x

 

Well there's a BIG difference between coming from behind against Florida or Tampa Bay compared to the defending Cup champs, Detroit. They literally are an all-star team.

 

Our boys looked like they'd never seen such crisp tape to tape passing before. I guess I can take a few good things from this game... the boys were hitting and checking like crazy and Ward looked pretty good considering the defense in front of him. And hey, Corvo got a nice goal.

Next up... an umpteen-million game road-trip.

 

I agree Tassy! The new jerseys looked good and made it easy to find our players on the ice. I was able to read these jerseys a lot easier, too, to tell who was who.

These Canes are WAY to inconsistent. There over their self imposed budget, attendance is down (economy or the team's play blamed), Staal has fallen off the face of the hockey world other than the one hat trick game etc. Brindy looks his age, Samsonov has crapped his pants this year and they traded away arguably their most popular player during the off season (Cole).

I mean do you fire the guy who was at the helm for the Cup win? Do you can Rutherford since he is the one who is 95% responsible(outiside of Karmonos' input) for the who's on the ice?

I don't know, but I found myself staying at home last Wednesday rather than going to the game because, well, I was asking myself "was it worth my time and money to go see a team in which you never know what you're gonna get"?

Come on Canes. Get in gear, give the effort for which you're paid, and make me WANT to drive to Edwards Mill and Trinity to see your arses.

 

Wonder who the new coach is going to be?

Now why in the world would we want to bring Maurice back?

We fired his butt to start with.

While we are at it why don't we bring back Bates, and Cole and reunite the old school Canes?

Theory is to bring MO back for the rest of the year, let Francis assistant coach and get his feet wet in coaching, and then Francis takes over as coach next year.

 

I saw the news a bit ago and it has been confirmed that Paul Maurice is coach, and Ron Francis Asst. Coach. Interesting.

 

So they give up on the season, with a talented core group with plenty of potential, just so Ron can get his feet wet? I'm all for a coaching change but bringing Mo back into the system just baffles me.

Why not let Rowe coach the team the rest of the season and still give Ronnie the opportunity to assist?

Guess you can tell I don't hold Mo in high regaurd. I hope he makes me eat crow in April.
