Clayton PD said on facebook that there was a line down on 70 near Shotwell, but that crews were on it. Hope you get power back soon!!!

A neat map to track/report outages.

Last night the staff at Flipside said they were planning to be open today and joked about it being a hurricane party.

Sounds good! I can't ever get the grits to taste all creamy like the restaurants. How do you make yours??

bring 2 cups milk and 2 cups of water to a boil, add in 1 cup of slow cooking grits and 1 1/2-2 cups of shredded cheese ( I use a combination of colby/monterey jack) and cook for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. at the end of 20 minutes add in 1/8 cup of butter and stir till mixed well usually another 10 minutes. then serve.

Thanks!! That sounds wonderful! I had not been using equal ratio water to milk. I will definitely try that.
