Glad everyone is otherwise healthy......Now let Senator Smith know so he can make sure that he gets the root cause fixed.

Glad everyone is OK, but I have a question, how do you know he was an illegal? Honestly, if he was why would they let him go?

Is it not against the law to drive a vehicle without a license? What will probably have to happen is to get a class action lawsuit against the county/state for not protecting the public.

I thought it was illegal to ride in the back of a truck also.

But yet, if it were one of us that just forgot our license we would be in for the long haul.

On a side note: I heard that the widow of the truck driver that was killed a short while back (who lost her son also) when an illegal caused the accident and fled is being harassed by the gang the illegal is a member of.

BTW, glad everyone is ok Pepps

if by long haul you mean single court appearance wherein you present your drivers license.

My mother was murdered by an illegal (in another state) almost a year ago (Mother's Day to be exact). The cops caught him in her car and while he was fleeing, he got shot and killed. The Mexican consulate and the family wanted to sue the police department for wrongful death and tried to convince the police that my brother and I hired some one else to kill our mother and he just found the car. This was after they had three different names for the guy. I never did find out what his real name is. At least I don't have to worry about the cops letting him go and him killing someone else's mother.
SOMETHING has to be done. I don't know what the answer is, but what is going on sure ain't working.

I'm glad you all are all right.

Well I am not here to open another can of worms. I just needed to say that first. With that said I am happy that "kiddo" and everyone are doing well with what we will call minor injuries. I believe someone else touched on this and I will just say that "mom" was buckled safe in the cab while "kiddo" was placed in a dangerous spot. I believe it should be illegal for anyone to ride in the back of a truck. That is just my opinion. Once again I am happy that everything didn't turn out worse than it did. Also a three year old truck can be replaced. A human life can not.

Think the government should tell us what to eat as well? Ever heard of personal freedom.
