I agree with this. And, I think it is inappropriate. It looks to be bordering on soft-core porn to me. Would the consensus be the same if it was a female in the pic?
My point was that it was no worse than the other pictures/models in the mall of women in the mall with half their breasts hanging out.
Eh, my girls see breasts as a food source. But you see Jen... you have been desensitized, if you think half a breast is no big deal.
No, I didn't say it was no big deal, I said I didn't see any difference. I think what's fair for one is fair for the other. If you're going to parade half naked women around in front of me, it's only fair that I get to see half naked men too. And to be fair, they did airbrush the pubes out of the picture, right? LOL So technically, isn't that his lower ab? 8)
It isn't often that I'm speechless, but right now I can't think of anything to say that won't get me banned for life.
The dude that wrote the article is just mad & jealous b/c his wife stood there just a little too long staring. And he later realized why she suggested taking a picture. It wasn't to put in the article with the complaint, it was too look at on those nights after he has fallen asleep. I think it's funny! Not the picture but the business this man has created. Just think maybe in 10-20 yrs we will see more skin in advertisments. The world is changing it's not 1950 anymore.
:lol::lol::lol: Ohhhhh Abercrombie Boy ohhhhhh abercrombie boy *buzzzz* A&F stock has probably took a jump from all of this free publicity
Hmmmm. I can't give my opinion until I study this awhile longer. Hmmmm. Still studying it........................ Not quite done studying the problem yet............ :jester: All kidding aside, I really think they have gone a bit too far with this one. They haven't asked them to remove it completely, just to move it inside the store where children won't accidentally see it walking by. That seems like a fair compromise to me. Then they could truly say if you don't like it don't come in the store, instead of subjecting everyone that walks by to it. In this situtation saying "just close your eyes" or "just don't look" doesn't work unless you know in advance it is there. Once you see it, it's too late to close your eyes.
Well, let's see...on one Thread some members want a dress code at malls and on another Thread we are viewing (an awesome body) a male who has no belt on (yeah baby) and jeans. Now, as an adult, very sexy. As a consumer, not impressed. Whatcha' selling A & F? Funny, I am against the dress code on the other Thread but am not impressed with this type of advertising in a store where I shop. Anyone posting on the other Thread that are for the dress code and like this advertising (don't have time to look)? Sherry
I've personally seen them using live female models a few times at Victoria's Secrets. I think a picture is better than seeing a true real life person wearing something even more revealing in a mall window. And I'm sure that some countries would propose that making nudity not so taboo reduces stigmatisms between people and races, by eliminating the "mystery". Either way it comes down to how you rear/teach your chilldren to view things they will ultimately be exposed to in life. Craig
