And you wanted to be an elected respesentative of the people? You don't even know what the hell you are talking about! Sounds like sour grapes to me
I know exactly who you are. So what? You were very open when you came on here as Saltman as to who you were and what you were doing on the board. You tried to use it as your personal "soapbox" and paid the price for it. You gambled, you lost. At least you had the ovaries to go out and try to do something for this country. For that, I applaude you. You're still a liberal hypocrite, but one with a little spunk. And calling me a coward is not venom? Doctor, heal thyself. You don't understand what it's like, nor will you ever. Nothing to get upset about. It's just the way it is. The only hates here are the one you carry and the one you think I have. There's only one person in this world I hate, and I haven't seen him in 10 years and I'd still punch him in the nose if I saw him. Other than that, I'm good. Besides, I'm not the one ranting and raving again. How would you know what a true soldier does? If you want to tell us what a soldier's daughter does, then I'll give you a listen You sound pretty venomous and hate-filled to me. Perhaps that temper is what got in your way last time. Got any ideas for the next screen name?
Good question, and here's as long as an answer as I can provide right now: In the short term, no we are not safer. The world has gone haywire and the war is mostly to blame for that...but let's keep in mind that Muslim terrorists have been around a lot longer than 2001. They tried to bring down the WTC in '93 also. Now, long term; I think the world will be a better place as long as we are victorious in the middle east. Right now the "peaceful" Muslim world is not only killing Americans but they are killing each other also. This type of instability is good for no one. If we can stabilize the region, we will have a much safer world for our children and grandchildren. If you look at WWII, the world at the time was a much more dangerous place because of the war. Many European countries were being bombed or attacked daily, and American merchant ships were being torpedoed. Howeveer, looking back on that time now, we see that the world is a MUCH, MUCH safer place with the Nazi's defeated. To say that the world would have been a better place had we sat out WWII is ridiculous. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this war, and that's mine...
He is taking care of the issues that the majority of his constituent's believe in and re-elected him to do. Now if your values differ than http://joinfred.com/ than it is your right to try and get someone elected that shares your values. Right now Johnston County is predominantly Republican that is why Republicans keep winning.
It is not our place to stabilize anything in the middle east. You can not conquer the spirit and Muslim's are full of spirit. Much different animal as that was as a declared war. Good luck telling the people that had ancestors killed by Stalin that the world is safer because the Nazi's were defeated. Stalin had more people killed just not not as segmented.
First off you have no clue who I voted for. Second spin it all you want, but as you just typed he won by 2/3 of the vote. Third is I can get into whatever I want on a public message board.
Med Check! Since you're confused, feel free to pick up a Dictionary and look up the word 'Quagmire'. It might help you understand the situation a bit better. You've already got my opinion. Feel free to re-read the post as many times as you need to. I'll wait. For those not familiar with Stinger's debate tactics, when he posts the words "Hop, Hop, Hop", that's his way of saying "Burned AGAIN!" Osama is responsible for 9/11. I know he stayed alive long enough to pop up on our televisions a few days before the 2004 election. As far as Osama helping Bush, why don't we ask Bush himself: http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2006/03/01/binladen/index.html "I thought it was going to help,'' Bush says. ''I thought it would help remind people that if bin Laden doesn't want Bush to be the president, something must be right with Bush.'' Wow! Who would have ever GUESSED??? Hillary has some Good Points and some Not-So-Good points, but it's fun to mention her anyway, because even the mere mention of her name makes The Right Wing flop around like gasping fish out of water. Once in a while, there's noting wrong with a bit of 'goading'. The issue isn't your military service, as much as you wish it were. It's about you voting for a man who promised us a 'humble' foreign policy, a balanced budget, and Less Federal Government. Even YOU can't claim he 'made good' on THOSE promises. When Georgie the Bull smashed up the Iraqi China Shop, I supported Kerry's plan to get some help from the other 'shopkeepers' in the cleanup. It was the least we could do, since we owned the bull. But Georgie the Bull smelled sweet crude oil under the China Shop floorboards, so he chased all the other 'shopkeepers' out of the shop. Now he sits there, snorting and stamping, wondering why the Iraqi Storeowners aren't cleaning things up faster, just so he can pump out THEIR oil for his piggish freinds. ...and you see JOHN KERRY as the 'warmonger' here? MED CHECK! Stinger, you forget that most of the people reading our posts have pretty good memories. If I ever 'edit' history, I hope I would get "called" on it, backed up with unaltered text. ...doubt it will happen, though. I'm having too much fun speaking the Truth. You should try it some time. It's really not all that bad, once you get used to it.
Here ya go, Rush... This is what you said originally: Then this poll "named" Jimmy Carter the WPE: http://4042.appcomm.net/4042forums/showthread.php?t=8762&highlight=Poll Which is when you went back and edited the text to this: You lied, cheated, and then lied again. In fact, one of your pod-mates agreed with me on this: "Bob, I am with Stinger on this one. Since "the worst" is an opinion statement and both Jimmy and George smell pretty bad (sort of like making a decision does Beagle crap smell worse than Shepherd crap). You stated "name me a president worse than Dubya, and I'll drop the GIF." and based on their opinion they did." - 7 of 12, aka HughT
Have you noticed that Fred Smith is always hoarse when he speaks? Sorry, I've been as critical as anyone of him, but he won in a landslide against an opponent that didn't even have the financial support of the State Democratic Party, because they know how the district is drawn. Whatever helps you get through the night though.....
don't let old twinkles get you worked up. and if you do don't tell him about it. =P now he knows he's gotten to you, instead of just kinda thinking in the back of his mind "Welp.. she posted this, i think i did it." C'mon, grace.
And just where in my post did I discuss the causes of WWII? Seriously, are you even thinking clearly? You ramble on about how I have no idea of the causes of WWII when I didn't even mention the subject. Just what in the hell am I wrong about? Thank God you got slaughtered in that election, because you're really weird! Why do you keep saying "her" and "she"? It's you...you're the one that ran and lost. Are you that ashamed? I would think that you would be proud that you at least tried...
To each his own, but I am pretty sure neither party wants the financial and flight records of Aero brought to light. That company has been a CIA front for 30+ years.
Maybe you're the one mistaken on Fred's hoarsness, considering I saw him on Tuesday night and just like the weekend before he was still hoarse. He always has that raspy type voice and is a definite disadvantage when he is up against a viable opponent. His last State Senate race was one big warm up for the 2008 gubernatorial campaign nothing more, nothing less. The Democrats knew that with the way they drew this particular Senate district, that any warm body Democrat was going to get at least 30% and no more that 40% of the vote, unless the incumbent was caught in a scandal real close to election day.
