Her story was just too easy to check out. I didn't bother, but I could have easily tracked down all the female attorneys in Benson. According to the State Bar, there are a total of 24 attorneys in Benson. That includes 4 disbarred, 1 deceased, and 4 inactive. Of the remaining 15, only 3 appear to have female names. http://www.ncbar.gov/members/member_search_results.asp?callID=1 As I said before, a fifth grader with a computer could find out who she is if the information she posted was true. So a person who is supposedly intelligent enough to get through law school and pass the bar exam posts all that information and then states, more than once, that she is concerned about stalkers. Right.
Can I get the cliffs notes on this story? How did this find its way to the Jehovah Witness thread? Also...I'm going off memory....is this about Stella?
As usual, the thread has drifted far from the original topic. My point was simply that you don't need proof of who a poster is to know they're not what they claim to be, as in the case of Stella.
Yep KD - I checked out female attorneys in Benson last week when the thread went down. NONE of them were 27 YO. :jester:
Here's my final question. Can someone show me where she said she is an attorney in Benson and not just that she lives in Benson? She said she lives there and only spoke of people trying to track her down to there from previous cases, but that doesn't mean she works there. I think this was the assumption, but if someone can just point to where she said she works as an attorney in Benson and not just that she lives there I'll rest my case.
I have no idea where she practices, nor do I have the time to dig through old posts. Forgive me if I trust a long time poster with legit experience who says there is no way on earth she could possibly have done all she says in that time frame. You know gullible isn't in the dictionary.........right?
No. I would think that they didn't know what they were talking about, but unless I could prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt who that person is I would not state as FACT that they were a fraud. And now you can answer my question about her working in Benson. All of the research was done for that town and she probably doesn't even work there.
I have been working in law firms since my freshman year of college so I do have some idea of what can and can't be achieved in them. I have a friend who is 27 and has done more than Stella claimed in that amount of time and is more succesful than her so I have living proof that it can be done. Otherwise, I wouldn't be saying that it was possible that what she was saying is true.
I don't think the parallels are quite comparable on that one... One is more known as fact {quotas}... The other has no facts to stand on just assumptions and those can be for or against... Come up with a more fair comparison...
Fair enough.....................I still ain't buying it. I suppose it is REMOTELY possible she wasn't completely full of crap, I still call BS. You can believe what you want.
