Chrysler LeBaron. Everybody called it the dragon because when I took off from a stoplight or stop sign it left a trail of smoke!
My first car was a 1953 Ford Jubilee 50th Anniversary Addition Tractor - And for the record, it was already old when I starting driving it to school - yes, I really did drive it to school a few times. This baby would top out at 18MPH on flat ground, much faster if you pressed the clutch in and coasted down hill.
lol My dad has a 53! I will be the third owner. My Grand Dad, My Dad, then me. My dad did have his restored like that one. Same color and everything.
Now my second car was a 78 Camaro. Ladder bars...tons of motor...loud..sold to a kid at school. He totaled it the next week.
i loved my gremlins...i could work on them and fix them..these new things i have no idea.... i love my kia more..lol
1981 Camaro Z28! I loved that car, Dark metallic blue with gold stripes! Daddy bought it for me when I was 17. Before that I had to prove myself trustworthy by sharing the family car for my first year driving. The fam mobile wasn't a bad ride, a 1980 Cutlass Supreme, Black with tan vinyl 1/2 top (remember those vinyl 1/2 tops?)
I was waiting to see if anyone else got to drive what I was lucky enough to for 6 months before I chimed in. My Grandmother let me have her 1965 Thunderbird with the 390 4 barrel (no, she was not the original owner, LOL). All original, silver with a black vinyl top and black interior, the interior was like new. Like the car in Thelma and Louise except this one was not a convertable. The steering wheel moved to one side so you could get in without showing your butt in a skirt (there was the 60's for you). I loved that car and was heartbroken when it was sold. I will have another one one of these days...............................
Mine was a 1984 ford escort..baby blue, 4 speed manual trans. No radio or A/C and I was stationed in Va Bch.
