    Ditto, plus I keep it in the fridge, it's great to be cooked by itself and eat it. I use it to season veggies all the time...yum.

    Hey Bratz - We ordered take out again on Saturday night. It was great! My dad, hubby and daughter picked it up and said the service was fast, the food was ready when they arrived and everyone was very nice, even though you were already quite busy at 6:15 pm.

    My mom said the steak and cheese needs more cheese and she will order double cheese next time. Those are huge sandwiches and she had it for dinner the next night as well!

    I had the Lobster Ravioli and it was very good. The pizza was great as usual.

    We all loved the tomato/mozzerella appetizer. At the price of both items, we couldn't make it for that price ourselves!

    We are plotting that date night for sometime soon. See you then!

    And this was a really frugal meal for us because my parents were treating us for DH's birthday! LOL

    For all of 'ya'll' who are obviously confused... Lard = Crisco.

    NO!! Crisco is All-Vegetable shortening, lard is animal fat! :jester:

    Actually,

    Lard = rendered pork fat
    Crisco = vegetable fat

    Both bad for you, very fattening and artery-clogging of course. But lard makes the most tender pie crusts and biscuits! And I disagree with someone who said you can't taste the difference - I think there's a huge difference in the taste. You either love it or hate it. I vote hate, but don't tell my grandmama.

    I'm not usually one to pick a fight, but we're talking food here. :mrgreen:

    Think I will go and get me a fatback sandwich and some pinto beans. Better than pizza and so good for your arteries too.

    Girl, you ain't lying when you say gassy. I could curl your hair after I eat a big ol bowl of pintos. MMMM, in fact I think I'm gonna go to mamas tomorrow at lunch and have a big ol bowl of black eye peas and onions and cornbread.

    Anybody want to come with me? I'm sure mama's got enough for us all. [IMG]

    Throw in some hot sauce and salt and you have the makings for a great lunch.
