DQ does have some good cheeseburgers...especially for the money. I bet most people tend to gravitate out of habit to McDs or BK and forget that DQ has more than just ice cream.
The Mexican place. Yeah, I occasionally get tacos from the taqueria. The carne asada and carnita is good. Its not a restaurant just a taqureia, taco stand. Quick place to get a bite on the run. Stay away from the chivo. I about puked. And I usually get take out. The mexicans stare pretty hard when a white person comes in there. I got some meat at the place next door yesterday to make beef jerky. Fajita beef.
Actually just hamburgers( I get mine without cheese, extra pickle, have to watch her waistline and mine, too! ) But no, she does't get ice cream, that's all mine! And if it helps your peace of mind, I try to walk her ( and me! ) 10-15 miles a week. Some people think she's fat (Vet said she needed to lose 5-10 pounds) but she's really 85 pounds of lean, mean, lovin' machine!!!
Yay, more posts about food. I went to the Clubhouse Restaurant for the first time, a couple of weeks ago. Ordered the cheeseburger, and LOVED it. I've only been once, so I'll have to go back a couple of times to make sure they're consistently good. McKinley's is okay, but I ordered fish and chips there, expecting fish and fries. I got potato chips. Fish and potato chips. The fish was greasy and flavorless, and square. The chips were okay, but we'd eaten a ton of them already. So I had to order fries after I got my basket. I'd go back to McKinley's again, but unless they rename it fish and crisps, or actually use fries, I'll stay away from that basket.
Unless you ask for fries, "chips" come with all their sandwich baskets, unless its otherwise specified on the menu or special board. Their chips are actually pretty good salted with the malt vinegar on them. They make both their chips and fries fresh in the kitchen. While I do love McKinleys, their fish and chips isn't one of my favorites. Being from NE the fish & chips to me, needs to be nice thick pieces of cod or haddock, not thin flounder or tilapia.
Philly Cheesesteak? Has anyone found a decent Philly Cheesesteak in this area? One that comes close to the real deal in Philadelphia?
That sounds like a little place I ate at in Mexico. It was a bar with various choices of quesadillas, buritos, enchiladas, etc. Every item was 1000 pesos, which was about 33 cents at the time. Mm-mmm! Snuff
