One thing to keep in mind is that while revenue is funneled back to the corporation, the franchises are usually independently owned. Remember the McDs on Falls of Neuse that got national attention for its Christian Christmas message on the marquee. A few passerbys decided they didn't like it and complained to McD's headquarters and were told they couldn't do anything about it. I do not support the homosexual lifestyle or same sex unions, but its probably going to be very hard to not shop with larger corporations that refuse to contribute money to gay causes. Even the suppliers of smaller town stores could be funding the same types of groups and you wouldn't even know it.
I don't understand why McDonalds had to put this out there, I don't give a rats *** about anybodys sexual preference! What is the GAY AGENDA? no, I don't think they deserve anything less than the rest of us but NO MORE either! Why promote it, Crap like this just makes me sick! :twisted:
Actually, while McDonald's did release the statement, the mass media was from WorldNetDaily, a conservative news source who decides for you what is right or wrong. I didn't see a whole lot of information from the "main stream" media. Of course they would only report the effects of the new release, and since Jerry Falwell has passed on, there's not a lot of organized whining from the right over this.
