I heard just a blip about this on the news the other day, but didn't catch the whole story.

Meth Lab Found With Young Children
A 3-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy were taken into custody by the Sampson County Department of Social Services after an anonymous tip concerning their welfare led authorities to discover a large scale, working methamphetamine lab in the residence where they were staying. The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that the small children had sores on their bodies similar to those attributed to meth users. When deputies arrived, they reportedly saw the sores on the children and contacted social workers. The meth lab was found during social services’ investigation. The lab was found in an old singlewide trailer near Spivey’s Corner. “On a scale of one to 10, 10 being the worst, this lab was a 10,” said Captain Eric Pope. The smell of the ammonia from the anhydrous generator used in the production of meth was so strong that an SBI agent was reportedly sickened. Richard Allen Rhodes, 36, of the residence was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, child abuse, four counts possession of meth precursors, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of meth. He was placed under a $300,000 bond. Rhodes’ relationship to the children is unknown. The investigation is still on going. http://www.1270wmpm.com/
