If you are willing to work on your own stuff this is the place to get parts. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ Had the control board go out in out stove a while back, and several people I talked to said to just buy a new one. A comparable stove would run me $800-$1000. I ordered the part from here for $250 and in 15 minutes had it in and the stove was back to working again.
You also replaced the control panel on the dryer when the start dial stopped turning correctly. Was that from them too?
I still have the first Microwave I bought. (Panasonic - 1984) Changed the bulb a couple of times and I open the case to clean it at least once a year. The thing most people ignore is they have a cooling fan for the high power transformer. Cooling fans suck dust. And if it's near your stove it's also sucking in grease vapors. Dust and electronics are enemies. Pull the back off and dust it out at least once a year and they'll last a long time. That goes for all your appliances. "PM" - Periodical Maintenance will save you thousands over time. Pull the back covers and clean the inside with a clean paint brush. Refrigerators are the ones most people ignore. I've seen compressor motors with an 1/4 inch thick blanket of dust. Out of site, out of mind. FYI: Microwaves are great for re-purposing. The transformer makes a great stick welder or an electrical arch Jacobs Ladder.
