Read nothing personal in this, but I think it's a bad idea... I think you're just setting their wants higher and it will only get worse the older they get and the more they'll want. I'm afraid the "I want my kids to have better than I did" has gone a little out of control. But, like I said, thats what *I* think and *I* don't know you or your kid. Just my opinion.
We had a long talk last night and decided on the Karaoke Machine. Personally, I think that will be more fun and from what I understand you can just set it to play regular songs without the karaoke singing.
Good deal! Like I said, I don't know you or your kid and that was not anything towards either of you, just blowing off my general opinion (which everyone knows I'm nuts anyhow)
I know all them fellas, just talked to JP the other day, very long-time dear friend!! I was a bartender at the Attic for many years, I bet I know you. I remember the band 'Cirkus', saw them at the Switch and the Attic. Gosh you brought back great memories....Small world.....

you remember Sandy Steinberg I bet... he moved to Florida... we were roomates waaayy back in the day... how's Joe doing?
Oh my goodness..... I had forgotten about Sandy. Last I heard, Joe was doing well. Wow. Those were the best years, ever.....from about 82-92.....wow.
I was in Greenville (living) from 1972 to 1976... Sandy and I lived at the Ficklen house when it was hippie heaven before it became a frat house.... I played for a short time in the house band at the Elbo Room when they had live music... the band was 10th Ave....also had a band pre Cirkus called Jubal that was big business at The Attic back when Tom Haines still owned it...in fact it was Jubal that was playing the time they had the summer riot and was carting everyone off in busses...they charged me with inciting the "riot".... nothing came of it of course... we also played the first "Halloween Riot".... it was hilarious... 400 people streaked up to Leo Jenkins' house and then over to campus.... good times....
I remember when the original Attic burnt down, I sat on the curb watching....The band 'Stormz' had played, and were good friends, and we sat there and watched the fire. It was so sad. Gosh, there are so many good times, we could play 'remember when' for days.....
You don't include the years that Hootie and the Blowfish played the attic after they were huge....it was like the best ever.... spent many nights in the Attic......and the Elbo room etc......dang fun 7 years caught the tale end of the 82-92 range.
I was trying to forget them Blowfish Pirate.....I hated that music at the time ....I went off to Los Angeles in 92, looking for Mr. Grunge Bar.....hehehehehe
