I've had those!! What FUN they are! DH had to pick me up from work once because I was completely unable to see out of one eye and couldn't drive home, lasted a few hours. Was also pregnant at the time, OBGYN flipped out, and sent me to a neurologist. It was just an optical migraine, no headache. Very weird. Can be brought on by hormones.
Well, I sure do appreciate all the info form everyone!! I will schedule an appt. You know what's aggravating about that though? And you womewn will understand it more so. When ya make an appt. for a SPECIFIC matter, WHY IN THE WORLD do wanna give ya a PELVIC EXAM???????? Look, the problem is in MY HEAD, NOT MY........."poony".....LOL I had a Pelvic 3 months ago.......(I'm sure ya'll REALLY needed to knoew that, Huh?)
Wasnt pregnant during mine, I have boy parts Yeah, scared the poo outta me the first time I had one. Only have had maybe 3 in my life and havent had one for a year or two. I can usually see one coming on and can get to a stopping point if driving. Never went to the doctor for it, I hate going to the doctor About the blood pressure thing, if I take my blood pressure @ home or @ the little chair/machine @ the pharmacy its great, but as soon as I go to the doctor and get all nervous/worked up he's like "your blood pressure is high". So I started tracking it myself and take the paper in and show him I'm O.K. I'd suggest that to anyone that gets nervous around the doc like I do.
I kinda figured you had "boy parts' lol! That's why I mentioned they can be brought on by hormones, I was told they happen more frequently in women during puberty, pregnancy and menopause. Aren't you glad you don't have to worry about that! I have no idea why a man would be getting them though. Scared the crap out of me the first time, that is for sure. I used to get full-blown migraines, but haven't had one in about 20 years, thank God!
I'd definitely follow through with an appointment, but vertigo can be rough. Never had it before until one morning about three years ago, I woke up and the room was spinning. It even bothered me to lay on my back with my eyes closed! The only slight relief was laying on my stomach with my head turned one way or the other on my pillow. I couldn't even stand up, much less walk without assistance and it made me sick to my stomach. I went to the doctor that afternoon. Got a shot of something...can't remember and went home to rest. Sleep much of that late afternoon, through the night and it was gone the next morning. It was an inner ear infection so the doc said and didn't ever occur again. But you know...I still feel as though I get dizzy quicker than before. Your balance is certainly one of those things you can easily take for granted. It would be hard to function without it.
Is Meaghn and Meaghn (might of mispspelled it) off of Ameila Church road (like if you are going to 70) a family doctor office and if it is....what is their reputation...are they good. I need to find a new family doctor. Thanks Ro
First thing I thought was vertigo.... A neurologist can tilt your head around and watch your eyes generally to see if that is the case. There is help for vertigo, generally the doctor actually shakes you around from side to side to help the inner ear issue! LOL Strange but true! LOL Not a certain cure but a good help. Next I thought of your diet. Sugar can cause this type of issues. I started using splenda and then I ran into the same problems as you, I even had heart palpitations. I tried Equal and still had issues.... so finally I just left the artificial sugar alone and stuck to the real deal. I did not loose a lot of weight but that is ok too! I just got pregnant and lost 10 pounds that way instead from the morning/all day sickness! ha ha ha. However a lot of diabetics run into dizzy issues - have you kept a close watch on your sugar blood levels??? Hope you get feeling much better soon!!!!!!!
